The Bonfire Society will be holding its monthly meeting in the Cross Inn at 7.30pm this evening (Friday). The meeting will be preceded by the AGM. A big welcome awaits all those from present members who always look forward to more support as the annual bonfire night doesn’t happen by magic. There are many fund raising events during the year including a dinner dance later this month, a jumble sale in March, race night in April and in May there is a beetle drive , a bike ride and barbecue, with the annual barbecue in June at the Cross Inn. Maybe one of these events appeals to your talents and you can help by lending your support.

The annual Quiz Night organised by the Ewhurst, Staplecross and Bodiam Garden Society will be held tomorrow (Saturday evening) at 7pm. This event has been rescheduled due to the recent snow, so this is a chance to pit your wits as the quiz is mostly general knowledge questions.
