'Stop the three towns proposals'
CAMPAIGNERS in Mid Sussex have stepped up action to try to stop development iin Haywards Heath, East Grinstead and Burgess Hill.
The move followed a pledge by new Mid Sussex district council leader Gordon Marples to press on with plans for 14,000 more houses in the area- the equivalent of a town the size of Burgess Hill.
New leader of the opposition, Edward Matthews, has also said that he will support developer Thornfield's plans to regenerate each of the three towns in a controversial masterplan.
