Findon’s post office closed without warning last week, leaving residents to travel more than a mile to the nearest alternative.

The Findon branch closed suddenly last Tuesday, May 30.

A post office spokesman said: “The postmaster at Findon Post Office has decided to cease trading with immediate effect due to personal reasons.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the unplanned temporary closure of this branch.

“We will look to see how we can restore Post Office services to this area.

“The nearest alternative branches are Findon Valley, High Salvington, Durrington and Broadwater Green.”
