Reports of superglue being spread on children’s climbing frames have been investigated by the council.

Worthing and Adur councils were alerted to the potential issue by people posting on social media.

The glue was reportedly found on play equipment at Pond Lane Playground in Durrington Lane, Worthing.

A council spokesman said: “We have now inspected the playground and can confirm that the site, and the climbing frames in question, are all currently safe to use.

“Please note that our play inspections take place weekly.

“If anyone sees vandalism occurring at the playground, please report this to the police.”
