Product recall

Lovelife Peanuts & Raisins are being recalled as a precaution over the undeclared presence of almonds, Brazil nuts and pistachio nuts.

The supermarket is offering any customers affected a full refund and said in a notice: “Some boxes may contain packets of vitality mix instead of Peanuts and Raisins.

“Vitality mix contains almonds, brazil nuts and pistachio nuts - as well as gojii berries, blueberries and pumpkin seeds - which are not declared as ingredients on the box.

“Any customers who have an allergy to almonds, brazil nuts or pistachio nuts should not consume this product but return it to Waitrose for a full refund.”

All the products affected have a best before date of 05/01/2017. No other Waitrose products are known to be affected.

Nut allergies are potentially lethal.
