Support group for carers in Worthing is launched

AN ‘essential’ service for unpaid carers in Worthing has been launched.

Worthing Carers Support Group will meet for the first time on Monday, January 26, between 11am and 12.30pm at the Quaker Meeting House, in Mill Road, Worthing.

The group also supplies equipment and provides a telephone help line.

Nancy Liddell, a carer support worker, said: “We have had an incredibly good response to the launch event we had. It’s essential. They need somewhere they can go where they can be themselves and talk to others.

“It’s often difficult for them to talk to the person they’re caring for or their family.”
