Sussex cricketer has ‘lucky escape’ from overturned car

SUSSEX county cricketer Lewis Hatchett has spoken of his lucky escape after his car overturned on Shoreham Beach.

Mr Hatchett was involved in a collision with a stationary vehicle in Beach Green, near the junction with River Close, at 1.45pm yesterday afternoon.

His white Audi ended up on its side but Mr Hatchett was uninjured. He was checked over by paramedics at the scene.

Following the accident, Mr Hatchett tweeted: “Feeling fairly lucky right now.
