The force is appealing for witnesses following what was described as a ‘single-vehicle collision’ on the A287 in Hook, near Basingstoke, shortly after 7.40am.

“Around a third of a mile south of junction five of the M3 a black BMW 730 which was travelling north crossed the grass central reservation and collided with a barrier next to the opposite carriageway,” said a police spokesman.
