Sussex Police present cheque to Asperger's Self Advocacy Group
A cheque for £500 was presented to the Asperger's Self Advocacy Group, based at Dove Lodge at Beach Road.
The cheque is from Sussex Police Property Fund and the money, which was presented on Monday, February 20, will go towards the running costs of the group, giving advice and support to people with Asperger and other related syndromes and being a voice for people who find it difficult to be heard.
Asperger’s Self Advocacy Group was formed in August 2016 and is continuing to build its membership. The group facilitator is James Parmenter.
Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) Forster from Bognor Regis Police station, representing Sussex Police, presented the cheque to Frazer Hill, a group member and volunteer, and Iris Birch, a group member and the parent of and carer to her own adult child.
