Tarring crash driver dies

A MAN died after his car crashed into a tree in Tarring.

The man, who has not been named, was driving alone in a blue Daewoo Matiz which left Rectory Road and hit a tree at around 8.45am this morning (Tuesday, January 27).

Police officers completely closed a section of the road between Glebe Road and St Lawrence Avenue while fire crews battled to cut the man free from the car.

Paramedics then rushed him to Worthing Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 0845 60 70 999, quoting Operation Aldbury.
