Tarring Road flats plan rejected

PLANS to "sandwich" 14 flats and two houses on a narrow strip of land between West Worthing Railway Line and a row of protected tress have been shelved.

Developers had wanted to build fourteen one and two bed flats and two three bedroom houses on land close to the railway station car park, along Tarring Road.

Tory councillor Mark McCarthy slammed the plans at a meeting on Tuesday, saying the warehouse style development looked like a "Victorian asylum".
