Police are appealing for witnesses after a stabbing

The 17-year-old victim was hospitalised with stab wounds to his lower back, arm, hand and legs but has since been discharged, according to police.

In a statement released today, police said they believe four men visited the victim at the property in Rowlands Road at around 3pm.

They are believed to have left on foot before walking along St Michael’s Place, police said.

Police described three of the men as being of mixed race, one with a puffer style jacket with a hood and one was wearing jeans and a T-shirt. The fourth man was white, wearing a blue tracksuit and black hat.

Detective Sergeant Simon Dunn said: “This was a violent incident but it is believed the people involved are all known to each other.

“If you saw something suspicious in the area either before or after the attack, we would like to hear from you.”

Witnesses can email [email protected] or call 101 quoting reference 818 of 15/03.
