Eight young people were arrested after two 28-year-old men were assaulted and one robbed of a mobile phone.
Police were called to the scene in South Street, Tarring, just before 9pm on Friday, December 7, where the two victims had both been punched in the face.
Detective Sergeant Alex Lowe said: “While we were quickly able to make arrests in this case, we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw a group in the area beforehand.
“Please call us on 101 quoting serial 1560 of 07/12.”
An 18-year-old man from Worthing, three 15-year-old boys from Worthing, a 15-year-old boy from Waterlooville, Hampshire, a 16-year-old boy from Worthing and a 16-year-old girl from Southwick, were all arrested on suspicion of robbery.
They have been bailed until January 16.
