Teenagers trespassed on Worthing warehouse roof

POLICE are on the hunt for two youths spotted clambering over a fragile asbestos roof covering at a warehouse in Worthing town centre.

A resident saw the pair on the roof in Marine Place on Sunday, February 21, and later warehouse owners noticed the roof had been damaged.

Although the damage has been a costly inconvenience, police say the bigger concern is the youths could have been injured and not found until the next day.

Police are also worried the youngsters could have inhaled harmful fibres from the asbestos as they were probably not aware of the dangers the material posed.
