Television equipment stolen in Worthing burglary

POLICE are appealing for information after television equipment was stolen from a house in Worthing.

A Toshiba DVD player and a Virgin cable TV box were stolen between Wednesday, March 17 and Tuesday, April 6, while they were being temporarily stored in the porch at a home in Meredith Road.

Police are urging residents to be vigilant in protecting their property from opportunist thieves.

PC Julie Cox said: "Most thieves are opportunists. Leaving high value items in visible and accessible areas makes them easy targets, so make sure you keep them out of sight wherever possible and secure your home by keeping windows and doors locked."

Anyone with information should contact Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999, quoting serial 1450 of 6/4, or anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
