LOVE really is in the air in Ferring.
That is because pub landlord and lady Simon and Alida Lover returned from their honeymoon this week – just in time for Valentine’s Day.
The couple – whose unusual surname is particularly apt this week – have taken over the running of The Tudor Close pub, in Ferringham Lane.
They returned from their wedding and honeymoon in South Africa at the weekend.
Alida, 29, said: “When we booked the wedding, we didn’t think about Valentine’s Day. January is the best time to holiday as it so quiet, and I am South African and we wanted to have a sunny wedding and saw the best spot when we were on holiday there.”
The couple met through friends and were together for six years before Simon, 39, popped the question.
They took over the pub earlier this year, and Alida said: “We love this pub so much and hope to make it somewhere people come to relax and spend the day at or night. We love Ferring and it is such a good place to start our lives together as a married couple.”
