The spirit of summer comes to Staplefield
The tiny village of Staplefield showed it had a big heart and lots of spirit when it staged its funday on the village green.
The event coincided perfectly with another beer festival at the Jolly Tanners pub nearby and revellers enjoyed one of the warmest and sunniest days of the year so far.
The bank holiday also saw enthusiasts lined up to show off their vintage and veteran cars as well as a few perfectly restored traction engines, while others put their dogs through their paces and enjoyed ice creams and beers on the grass.
And while the band played everyone sat down for some quality time together, emphasising the true nature of village life in the heart of Mid Sussex.
