Thieves set fire to car stolen from Wick

A CAR set alight in Worthing yesterday (Thursday, March 24) had been stolen from Wick.

Fire crews were called to Hawthorn Gardens, Worthing, at about 2.30am, where the white Ford Escort was in flames.

The five-door car had been stolen from a communal parking area outside Marden House, Wick, between 10pm on Wednesday and 7.40am yesterday.

Police are appealing for witnesses at the two sites to contact them on 0845 60 70 999 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
