Thousands raised for children’s hospice

THE Findon Valley Residents’ Association (FVRA) raised £2,507.79 for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice through its ‘Spirit of Christmas’ late night shopping and community event.

Since 2009, the association has raised £10,295 for charity thanks to its annual festive event.

Maggie Winter, chairman of the Christmas Committee for FVRA, said: “A special thanks to all the donations made by everyone who came along, plus to those who bought tickets for our grand raffle and bottle tombola.”
