Tiarna makes it a hat-trick of wins

A YOUNG dancer has won a prestigious dance title for the third year running.

Tiarna Blackwood, six, was crowned the under-eights Dancer of Dancer champion at a competition in Hayling Island, Havant.

Tiarna’s mum, Melissa Miller, 29, of Rectory Gardens, Broadwater, said: “I’m very proud, she’s worked incredibly hard. She’s really fit for her age, she’s like a little machine.”

Tiarna has danced at the Premier Dance Academy, based in Lancing and Worthing, since she was three-years-old.

The Academy took 20 dancers to the competition and between them they came back with 118 trophies.

Carla Porter, academy principal, said: “It’s such a huge achievement for Tiarna. We put in a lot of hours together.

“We normally do well at this competition.”
