Tots to grow vegetables
A green-fingered scheme by the South Malling Pre-School Playgroup to grow fruit and vegetables next to the estate's community centre has been encouraged by Lewes Town Council.
However, Cllr Jim Daly warned members at their meeting on Thursday last week that it would be no easy task as there was a lot of hard core in that area.
Cllr Ruth O'Keeffe said it would be perfectly feasible for them to grow vegetables in tubs.
Cllr Michael Chartier said it was excellent that such young people should be taking part in something so constructive.
