TRADITIONAL SCENES AT PLOUGHING MATCH
FARMERS demonstrated their traditional ploughing skills '“ both in motorised and equine fashion '“ at the 76th Laughton and District Agricultural Society ploughing match at Place Farm, Firle, on Wednesday.
As usual, the horse-drawn ploughs attracted the most interest among the many experienced onlookers in lovely autumn sunshine
There were also match day competitions including best corn and hay, best farms in various categories and the very important ladies' section competition in cookery, preserves, handicraft, flowers and fruit and vegetables.
