Investigation underway into cause of Worthing commercial building fire
The cause of a blaze at a commercial building in Worthing is under investigation, the fire service has confirmed.
A spokesman said the fire service was called to reports of a fire in Dominion Way, Worthing, at 5.11pm yesterday (October 7).
Two fire engines from Worthing attended, with the first fire engine arriving within four minutes, the spokesman said.
A building on the former EDF site was 'well alight'.
Two more fire engines were requested to assist, the spokesman said.
The fire was extinguished using three main jets, one high pressure hose reel and two breathing apparatus, according to the spokesman.
The building, which measured 15m by 15m, was 75 per cent destroyed by the fire, the spokesman said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
