A27 closed at Shoreham after collision.

A COLLISION on the A27 this morning (June 8) caused a stretch of road between Shoreham and Hangleton to be closed.

Just after 5am there was a collision between a Mazda and a Vauxhall Corsa, near the Hangleton interchange, which meant the Southwick Tunnel, going eastbound, was closed. Traffic was beginning to move again at about 8.30am.

The woman driver of the Mazda has been taken to hospital.

Also, on the westbound carriageway of the A27, on the Shoreham flyover, there is rubble on the road, however both lanes remain open as of 8.45am.
