Ansty and Staplefield road closure: West Sussex County Council says street must shut for five days

West Sussex County Council has announced an upcoming road closure in the Ansty and Staplefield civil parish next month.

The county council said the temporary closure of Brook Street is set to start on Tuesday, May 7, for up to five days but is estimated to be completed on May 7.

A public notice said: “(It) is required for the safety of the public and workforce while West Sussex County Council undertakes a daytime road closure outside property Goldings, between the junctions with Whitemans Green and Haywards Heath Road for carriageway patching works.”

The notice said the restriction will be in place during the daytime only from 9.30am to 3.30pm, while an alternative route will be signed on site. The notice added that access would be maintained for emergency services, residents and pedestrians. To find out more call 01243 642105.
