BREAKING: Elderly man critical after bike crash
AN elderly cyclist is in critical condition after riding his electrically-assisted pedal bike into a parked van.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which happened in Freshbrook Road, Lancing on Monday at around 3.45pm.
The 86-year-old man was taken by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital with a head injury where he remains in a critical condition.
Sergeant Alan Spicer said: “If you saw what happened please give us a call on 101 quoting Operation Lagonda.”
