Two appliances from Worthing attended the incident in Liverpool Gardens after receiving the call at around 4.30pm on July 24.

The empty building, which appears to be an outhouse attached to a property along the road, was 60 per cent damaged by fire, a spokeswoman said.

Firefighters used one hose reel and a positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire, and left the scene at just after 5pm.
