Cyclist injured in Shoreham collision after a reported '˜altercation'

A cyclist was taken to hospital following a collision with a car in Shoreham yesterday (Thursday, September 27).

The collision took place in Rectory Road, by the junction of Montague Close, at about 5.46pm, said police.

Police said the two road users were reported to have been involved in an altercation shortly before the incident.

A spokesman said: “The cyclist sustained minor injuries and was taken to Worthing Hospital for treatment.”

Anyone who saw what happened, or who saw a dark coloured hatchback in the area around that time, is asked to report it online or phone 101, quoting serial 976 of 27/09.
