A PERSON has been struck by a train in Goring.
Network Rail has confirmed the unidentified person was knocked down by the 5.53am Littlehampton to London Bridge train at about 6.25am today (Thursday, June 30).
The accident has caused severe disruption on the lines in both directions along the coast after the power on the train tracks had to be turned off while British Transport Police recovered the person.
The power was switched on at 7.10am with the train involved in the collision carrying on its route at 7.20am.
Network Rail has warned passengers to expect up to 40 minute delays, particularly between Worthing and Ford.
