Fallen trees and collisions causing delays on Sussex roads

There are delays on the roads in Sussex this morning (Monday, November 2) due to a number of fallen trees and collisions.

According to traffic reports, the B2036 London Road is partly blocked at Balcombe due to a fallen tree.

Also in Balcombe, there is now power at the station due to a local power outage meaning no trains are able to stop there.

Southern said this precaution will remain in place until further notice.

Outside Lewes, there are reports of slow traffic due to a fallen tree on the A275. This is affecting traffic both ways between A2029 Offham Road and B2116.

Just outside Hastings, there has been a collision on the B2092 Crowhurst Road between the A2690 Combe Valley Way and Church Wood Drive.

Traffic is reported to be coping well.

In Chichester, there has been a collision on the A286 Birdham Road, which is affecting traffic both ways between the B2198 Bell Lane and Dell Quay Road.

In Worthing, there is queueing traffic on the A27 Eastbound between A24 Findon Road (Offington Corner) and Sompting Road.

The queues are reportedly longer than usual with travel time reported around 15 minutes.
