Fallen trees cause problems for drivers across West Sussex

Gusting winds have created problems for drivers across West Sussex this morning (Tuesday May 5).

Reports have come in of fallen trees blocking a number of roads across the county.

These include Barns Green (near Horsham) Plaistow Road in Kirdford, Aldwick, Findon and the A29 / A284 Whiteways area.

The A283 Stopham Road, Pulborough, has been closed by the railway bridge due to fallen power cables.

This happened after a lorry collided with the pole. The driver was uninjured.

Drivers are advised to take care while the gusting winds continue, especially in country lanes.
