Fire at rear of Worthing pub

BURNING rubbish and fence panels at the back of a Worthing pub prompted a call to the fire service.

Two fire engines attended The Three Fishes, in Chapel Road, yesterday at 7.15pm, after three fence panels and caging containing rubbish were accidentally set alight.

Two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire and a fan was used to ventilate smoke from the pub.

Firefighters left the scene at 7.47pm.
