A fire service spokesman said they were also called to Findon Road, Findon Valley, Horsham Road and Findon High Street to inspect properties after heavy ran caused flooding concerns.

He said the majority of water subsided when the rain stopped.

Crews were also called to The Street, Rustington, when shops were threatened by rising water. Once again, the water subsided.

The fire service spokesman said the majority of flood-related calls took place between 11pm yesterday and 1am today (Sunday, June 3).
