Flooding and microwave fire attended by West Sussex firefighters

INCIDENTS attended by West Sussex firefighters so far this week include:-

Monday, February 27, 9.34am to 9.43am:

House in Somerset Gardens, Bognor – overflowing bath flooding kitchen through ceiling. Electrics isolated by firefighters from Bognor.

Monday, February 27, 4.32pm to 4.49pm:

Ground-floor flat, in Marine Parade, Worthing – small fire in microwave. Fire out on arrival of two crews from Worthing. Microwave removed and inspected by firefighters. Kitchen ventilated.

Domestic garage, in Downlands, Pulborough – single-storey garage involved in fire. Damaged area turned over and damped down. Two crews from Storrington attended.

Monday, February 27, 8.11pm to 8.44pm:

A272 Trotton, near Trotton Bridge – car crashed into telegraph pole and tree. Telegraph pole and tree fallen and blocking road. Man freed from car by Midhurst and Chichester firefighters before being taken to hospital by ambulance.

Monday, February 27, 8.15pm to 10.07pm:

Woodland, off Grayfriars Lane, Storrington – tree on fire in woodland. Crew from Worthing extinguished the blaze, believed to be arson.
