The Littlehampton Harbour Board promoted former deputy Harry Gregory to the top role. He takes over from Billy Johnson, who will become harbour master at Langstone Harbour.

The chairman of the Littlehampton Harbour Board, Philip Bush, said: “Harry has always been a welcome addition to the team and his promotion to harbour master is thoroughly well deserved.

“I feel confident that he will continue to strive to improve the harbour and to support harbour users.”

Harry has been a member of the team since July 2018. He has a masters degree in engineering from the University of Bristol and before coming to Littlehampton, he was a management consultant and a contract project manager for the Royal Navy, Ministry of Defence and Home Office.

He will continue to be part of the Littlehampton RNLI volunteer crew and previously served as an army reservist.
