WORK has started to install new pedestrian crossings at the junctions of Heene Road and Mill Road in Worthing.
The £61,000 West Sussex County Council scheme is coinciding with the on-going pavement improvements scheme.
Work began yesterday (Tuesday, January 4) and is scheduled to take up to eight weeks to complete and will be carried out Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm, and occasionally on Saturdays from 7am to 1pm. The pavement will be closed in small sections as the work progresses.
Temporary four-way traffic lights are in operation.
