OFFICERS investigating a fatal collision in Worthing today (Friday, July 1) are appealing to witnesses to help them find out what happened.
At around 4:10pm a motorcycle collided with a pedestrian on North Street, near to the Bath Store shop.
The pedestrian – a man in his 60s – was taken to Worthing Hospital where he died from his injuries.
The man riding the motorbike was taken to the same hospital with serious injuries, where he is currently in a stable condition.
Officers will speak to him when they are able to.
Sgt Paul Wood from the Road Policing Unit said: “The road was closed for around three hours while collision investigators gathered evidence.
“I’d like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding while this essential work was carried out.
“This was a busy Friday afternoon and anyone who witnessed the collision who has not yet spoken to us should call 0845 6070999 quoting Operation Henwick.”
