The A280 Long Furlong is shut both ways between the A24 Findon By-Pass (Findon Roundabout) and the A27 Arundel Road (Angmering / Clapham junction) for electricity work, the AA said.

One lane is blocked with slow traffic due to stalled vehicle on the A27 eastbound at the A259 Cathedral Way (Fishbourne Roundabout). Lane two of two is blocked.

Station Road is closed due to construction from the A27 (Drusilla’s Roundabout) to Common Lane. A detour is in operation - via the A27 and Common Lane.

Milton Road is also shut both ways due to gas main work from Victoria Drive to Albert Terrace.

Paddock Lane is closed from A2029 White Hill to Irelands Lane due to the demolition and rebuild of the flint wall.

On the railway network there are no direct services between London Victoria and Brighton in both directions, Southern Rail said. Passengers can use Thameslink services via Three Bridges and East Croydon.

The A259 Brighton Road is partially blocked both ways with slow traffic due to an accident near St George’s Road.

The B2110 East Street is partially blocked with slow traffic both ways from Vowels Lane to B2110 Turners Hill Park turn off due to a rolled over vehicle near Furze Field House.

Hoath Hill is also shut due to ice from Eatenden Lane to Solomons Lane.
