Sussex evening travel update for Thursday, August 27

There are severe delays of eleven minutes on Chichester Road eastbound between A27 Arundel Road (Yapton / Slindon turn off) and A27 The Causeway, the AA said. The average speed is 10mph.

There are delays of five minutes and increasing on the A27 Eastbound in East Sussex with an average speed of 20mph.

Very slow traffic is also being reported on the A27 Eastbound at A26 (Southerham Roundabout).

There are delays of eight minutes on the Polegate By Pass Eastbound between A27 Lewes Road and A27 Polegate By Pass (Cop Hall Roundabout).

Slow traffic is being reported on the B2093 The Ridge both ways at Harrow Lane. There is congestion to surrounding roads around Conquest Hospital and Beauport Holiday Park, the AA said. Delays are backing on Junction Road which is also causing further delays on the A21 Southbound.

The B2096 is partially blocked both ways with very slow traffic due to accident involving a car and a van from Portland Square to The Half Moon Inn.

Very slow traffic is being reported on the A264 Crawley Road both ways at Tower Road in the construction area. Lane restrictions are in place on the roundabout with delays affecting traffic travelling between Horsham and Crawley.

There is also very slow traffic on the A29 Stane Street both ways from High Street to A264 Horsham Road in the construction area, the AA said. Restrictions are in place for works near New Road.
