Sussex morning travel bulletin for Saturday, November 14

A number of roads across the county are affected by roadworks which may impact on motorists’ journeys.

According to the AA, there are temporary traffic signals due to gas main work on A269 Ninfield Road near The Petrol Station.

There are also temporary traffic signals due to gas main work on the A2101 in St Helen’s Road around St Helen’s Park Road in Hastings.

Gas main work is taking place in Eastbourne on A2021 Kings Drive around Eastbourne District General Hospital, meaning temporary traffic lights are in place.

There are also temporary traffic signals due to gas main work on A295 High Street at B2202 London Road.

According to the AA, there is a speed restriction of 30mph and restrictions due to construction work on the A22 from B2102 (Copwood roundabout) to A26 Lewes Road. Speed restrictions have dropped from 60mph to 30mph.

There are temporary traffic signals due to electricity work on A2031 South Street around Tarring Road.

There is also a traffic shift and speed restriction of 40mph due to long-term construction on A259 Worthing Road both ways between the Body Shop Roundabout and Wick Roundabout.

On the trains, engineering work is taking place between Ford and Brighton, closing some lines.

Buses will replace trains between Brighton and Littlehampton.

Engineering work is also taking place in the Gatwick Airport area, closing some lines.

Southern trains will have journey times extended by up to 10 minutes between East Croydon and Three Bridges.
