The M23 is shut northbound between junctions eight and ten while works are carried out after a lorry crashed yesterday, Highways South East said.

But the southbound carriageway has fully reopened.

There are no other major delays on the county’s roads.

Due to a fault on an earlier train, a reduced service is currently running between Hastings and Ashford International, Southern Rail said.

A replacement bus service will make up gaps between train services.
