Three-vehicle collision and oil spill closed A27 yesterday

A three-vehicle collision and oil spill led to the closure of the A27 for hours last night.

Police were called at 6.20pm to a three vehicle collision on the A27 in Brighton, near the junction with the A23.

‘Slight injuries’ were reported, police say, although ambulance services were not called.

The road was closed for some time while Highways England assisted with clearing up oil that had spilled onto the road, according to police.

The carriageway reopened at 21.25.
