Two taken to hospital after Shoreham A27 collision

Two woman were taken to hospital after suffering injuries in a two vehicle collision on the A27 at Shoreham on Thursday evening (September 27).

Emergency services were called to the collision – between a Volkswagen Golf and a Volkswagen Polo – at about 6.29pm.

The collision happened on westbound carriageway, just after the Holmbush on-slip, police said.

Two women – the drivers of both vehicles – were injured at the scene. One was taken to Worthing Hospital for a welfare check; the other was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital with a back injury, according to a police statement.

Both vehicles were recovered and police stood down as of 8.19pm.
