UPDATE: Digger to be removed this evening

The digger that fell off the back of a lorry at near the Arundel interchange will be removed this evening, Highways England has confirmed.

Highways England confirmed they would be removing the heavy goods vehicle from the junction with the A284 this evening and traffic is currently being diverted around the scene.

The digger had fallen off the back of a lorry earlier this afternoon (November 5) causing slow traffic.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “A lorry has shed its load at the interchange.

“The lorry shed a tractor or a digger onto the road.

“There have been no injuries to report but traffic is moving slowly.”
