UPDATE: Overturned lorry cleared

A lorry that overturned near West Hove Golf Club has been cleared but traffic delays are still expected, according to Sussex Police.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “A lorry – that was loaded with wood – overturned on the A293 Hangleton Link Road at the slip road junction with the A27.

“Police were called to the scene at about 3.15pm on Friday (March 24).

“No other vehicle was involved and the driver was not trapped or injured.

“Traffic is passing but there are delays.

“Arrangements were made by the highway authority to remove the wood and vehicle.”
