Two injured after car catches fire in collision at Long Furlong between Findon and Clapham

Two people have been injured in a collision at Long Furlong between Findon and Clapham.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 9.30am this morning (September 23) after two vehicles collided along the A280, Long Furlong.

Sussex Police said one car was reported to have caught fire and two people have been injured.

Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing at this time, a police spokesman said.

They were taken to Worthing Hospital and Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton, according to the ambulance service.

The road has been closed in both directions.

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Bognor Regis and Worthing attended, with heavy rescue equipment.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to report to police online or call 101 quoting serial 365 of 23/09.
