UPDATE: Crash driver suffers serious injuries in A24 collision

A DRIVER suffered serious back and neck injuries in a collision which closed the A24 for several hours on Saturday afternoon.

Four people were injured in a collision between a blue Vauxhall Tigra and a white Iveco lorry, near The Quadrangle, in Findon, at 2pm.

The Tigra was heading south and the lorry was heading north, when the Vauxhall turned into The Quadrangle, colliding with the lorry.

A 26-year-old man from Findon, the driver of the Vauxhall, suffered serious injuries to his back and neck.

His passenger, a 31-year-old man from Worthing, suffered cuts to his head.

Both were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

The driver of the lorry, a 54-year-old from the West Midlands, and his passenger, a 61-year-old from Worcestershire, were both taken to hospital to be checked over for minor injuries.
