A motorcyclist has been airlifted to St George’s Hospital, in London, with serious injuries. Police confirmed this evening the road was now completely clear after the crash between a motorbike and a West Sussex County Council school mini bus.

The A24 had been closed between the A27 in Worthing and the A280 in Findon after what police described as the ‘serious crash’ at the junction of Findon Road and Allendale Avenue.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were all at the scene. The road reopened at 6.12pm.
