Police enquiries are ongoing after a fire was started deliberately at a toilet block in Durrington on Friday (October 27).
Two fire engines were sent to the scene in Durrington Lane, by Pond Lane recreation ground, at just after 11am, the fire service confirmed.
An explosion from aerosol containers had caused a fire at the toilet block, resulting in structural damage, a spokesman said.
The fire was out by the time crews arrived on the scene but firefighters stayed for around half an hour to make the scene safe.
The fire had been started deliberately, confirmed the spokesman.
A police spokesman said: “Police have spoken to three youths in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
The toilets will be closed for at least two weeks following the vandalism, Worthing Borough Council confirmed.
