Update: Women seriously injured in Goring crash

FIVE young adults were involved in a serious car accident in Alinora Avenue, in Goring, earlier this evening.

A silver Peugeot 206 containing three women and two men crashed into the back of a parked white Mercedes at around 5.10pm.

The road was closed in both directions as the emergency services attended to the women, two of which were seriously injured.

At least one of the women was taken to Southampton General Hospital by air ambulance.

It is believed the man driving the car was arrested shortly after police arrived.

Crash investigators are still at the scene.
